Kevin is passionate about the rights of the accused and protecting individuals from government and police overreach. He worked for over ten years as a public defender, handling over a thousand cases and gaining invaluable courtroom experience. During that time Kevin had numerous jury trials and obtained not guilty verdicts in everything from misdemeanor assault cases to cases where his client faced life without the possibility of parole.
Kevin now enjoys operating Donnelly Law so that he can apply that experience but also spend as much time as needed on each case so that clients receive the best possible legal representation and also always feel heard and understood.
During law school Kevin had internships at a family law firm, at the Innocence Project of New Orleans, and conducting research in capital penalty cases. Prior to law school, Kevin worked as a high school Social Studies teacher.
